OREGON LABWARE

MAXXIFlux, our line of fluxes, is constituted by lithium tetraborate, lithium metaborate and mixtures in various proportions.

The use of fluxes is necessary in techiniques such as: Spectrometers of X-ray emission, atomic

absorption, spectrophotometers, ICP or classical analytical techniques. The main application is in the production of fused beads to the X-ray fluorescence analysis.

The fusion is the dissolution on the sample of flux. The oxides are easily dissolved in Lithium borates. The Lithium Tetraborate (Li2B4O7 -m.p. 920° C ), by having and acid feature react better with basic oxides, as for example the CaO. Therefore, the Lithium metaborate (LiBO2 – m.p. 850°C), which has basic characteristic reacts easily with acid oxides, for example: SiO2.

MAXXIFlux has a high purity level and analytical accuracy, high density, and can be pre-fused.
